Niykee who's had many a hectic few years which included getting picked by Snoop to join Snoop at The YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee has a regular songwriting routine even though she has been a bit busy. As a producer magnet, Niykee is constantly looking through beats sent to her. The majority are a source of new music ideas. It's easy to tell when a beat's good after the first five seconds. Then I'll get a song in my mind and begin creating right away, she adds. When I sit at my front porch, playing guitar, lyrics will flow and are usually written in fewer than thirty minutes. As she continues develop her skills as a lyricist, Niykee explains that her pain from the experiences in the past is a constant source of inspiration. Even when I'm not writing literally about things that have occurred to me, the pain of my childhood and losing my sister ends up getting pushed into my lyrics, she says. It influences my lyrics and adds more profund meaning. I believe this is what makes a difference for success.
