
Salma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jimmyenez, 2 September 1966)[3][4][5[3][4][5), is an American and Mexican actress. In Mexico she started her career in the role of Teresa in the Telenovela (1989-1991) and also as El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), where she received an Ariel Award. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) are just among her many Hollywood credits. Hayek's role as Frida painter in Frida (2002) and Frida (2002), which she also directed, produced by Hayek, made Hayek the first Mexican actress to be awarded the Academy Award [6]. It also earned her the Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. In subsequent years, Hayek focused more on filmmaking while also appearing in action-oriented films such as Once Upon a Time in Mexico
